The Bishop asked the Christians to always be associated with good work that is inspired by love. “When we have hatred, we betray our values as Christians. We should overcome negative sentiment and build a positive attitude towards God and our fellow human beings,” said the Bishop. He continued to say that the language that goes beyond any barrier is the language of love. Reflecting on the scripture readings of the day, the Bishop reminded the Christians of the gift of the Holy Spirit that is received at Baptism, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders and others that make them witnesses of Christ.
The Bishop also congratulated the married couples for the initiative to come forward and offer gratitude to God for the gift of a partner. He urged couples staying together to do the same. “In marriage there is nothing like trying, a partner is a gift God has created for you. Come out and say thank you to God for the gift of your partner. Gratitude to God is very important,” said the Bishop.
