9 happy couples exchanged vows during a mass wedding celebration at Our Lady of Fatima Koboko Catholic Parish Nyakalio Zone St.Peter's Chapel Zone , 20th January 2022. The colorful ceremony was officiated and blessed by the Bishop Arua Diocese, Rt.RevSabino Ocan Odoki.
During his Homily, Bishop Sabino advised that mass weddings should become an occasional event amongst the Christians who are prepared to take on the vocation adding that it will support many unmarried couples who may be limited to resources to put up magnificent weddings celebrations.
The Bishop noted that the couples shall become the immediate collaborators with God and urged them to diligently perform in their new responsibilities by being exemplary to the society.
"Marriage is a reflection of God's love in the world. The icon of God's love is seen in marriage where two different people get into total union, we are invited to also get into a total union with God. Dear couples this is a special responsibility that God is inviting you for, do it diligently, we the Clergy and the religious are also called upon to reflect that total love to God by being free from marriage so that we are in total union in the service of God.' Said the Bishop.
He appealed to the young people to prepare themselves for the unknown future that lies ahead by keeping at School. "When one stays at school and learns, one becomes more likely to be successful in life, keep in school young people and parents continue guiding the young ones in their different vocations in life." Said the Bishop.
