Bishop Sabino publishes banns for ordinations.

The Bishop of Arua Diocese, Rt. Rev. Bishop Sabino Odoki, in conformity with the provisions of the 1983 Code of Canon Law, has published banns for diaconate and priestly ordinations in Arua Diocese. Seminarians Joseph Butele and Charles Lwanga are to be ordained deacons, while Deacons Denis Munduni, Mugenyi Ahaisibwe, MIDM, and Hilary Andabati, CMF, are to be ordained priests.

The Church law requires that in order to lawfully confer the Holy Orders of Diaconate and Priesthood, it must have been established in accordance with the Canon Law that in the judgement of the proper Bishop, the candidates process the requisite qualities and that they are free of any irregularity or impediment (cf.CIC, Can. 1025).
The Bishop has therefore called upon the Clergy, Religious and Lay faithful to bring to the knowledge of the Diocesan and Congregational authority any irregularities and impediments, concerning the reception of the Sacrament of the Holy Orders (cf. CIC, Can. 1043) by the Candidates.

Seminarian Joseph Butele and Deacon Denis Munduni will be ordained at Aripea Catholic Parish on April 17, 2021. Seminarian Charles Lwanga, Deacon Deo Mugenyi, MIDM, and Deacon Hilary Andabati, CMF will be ordained at Christ the King Arua Parish on April 24, 2021.
Seminarians Joseph and Charles, and Deacon Denis will be ordained for Arua Diocese, whereas Deacon Deo and Deacon Hilary belong to Missionaries of Jesus the Divine Master and the Claretian Missionaries respectively.
