Bishop Sabino visits Bidibibidi refugee settlements and prays with the Christians of Ariwa Chapel, Yumbe District.

During the Eucharistic celebration with the refugees, the Bishop confirmed a total of 107 young boys and girls into the catholic faith. He urged the newly confirmed to be as witnesses of Christ through love in action. The Bishop noted that love is a universal language that is easily understood throughout the world and encouraged the spirit of love for one another, gratefulness and joyfulness amongst the refugees.

He revealed to the refugees that the presence of the Missionaries of the Servants of Divine Word helping at the settlements is a great sign that God is with them.

"God never abandons us even when we are suffering. I like to appreciate even the little signs that God gives us that he never abandons us. The presence of these missionaries, the Servants of the Divine Word to be here with you is to give you a sign that God never abandons us. The presence of the missionary Priests, Brothers and Sisters and even my coming to be with you here is a sign that God never abandons us. God has called these people, that go on the plane and go to Africa , to uganda to help my people, and this is why they are here. They have been instructed to come. So, we need to develop the mindset, the faith and conviction that God never abandons us. It is the only point that will allow us to see things a bit differently." Says the Bishop.
