At least 92 students were confirmed on the 24th October 2021 at Eruba Catholic Parish Centre, Arua District. 7 of the students were from Arua Institute of Health Science and 85 of them from the Parish Center of Eruba, Okuvu Chapel, Esikva Chapel, and Aduniava Chapel. Rt. Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki who administered the Sacrament during a Eucharistic Celebration at the Parish Center congratulated the candidates for their patience and perseverance during the lockdown that interrupted their initiation of the faith. In Catholicism, Confirmation is a sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of the baptismal gifts; an initiation into the depths of God’s fidelity to humankind.
The Bishop challenged the Christians to always have determination in their faith. "We must have determination in our faith, when we don't get God's blessings, we have to find out why, many times sin blocks us from receiving God's blessing. Maybe we have been sinning. Try to find out what is blocking you from receiving God's favour," said the Bishop. He thanked the Parish Priest Fr. Charles Idraku for maintaining the status of Eruba Parish Center, with the work that is going on at their new Father's House. The Bishop pledged to provide Furniture to be used in the new house.
During the celebration, the Bishop also launched the Synod of Synodality at Eruba. He urged the Christians to put the three important words that the Holy Father has given in his letter dated 7th March 2020 under a theme “For a Synodal Church'' and the sub theme ‘Communion, Participation and Mission.” That is to listen , Encounter and discern in practice
"Listen to each other, allow others to also speak. Parents should listen to their Children, Children should listen to their parents, the Clergy should listen to the Christians and Christians should listen to the Clergy and so on," said the Bishop
