    Bishop

Deacon John Bosco Mukulia.M.Afr ordained to Priesthood- Arua Diocese.

"Be generous to God, and give as many children to God as you can." Bishop Sabino tells parents.


Rt.Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki has urged parents to be generous in giving their children to serve in the ministry of Jesus Christ. The Bishop made this appeal during the priestly ordination of Deacon John Bosco Mukulia of Missionaries of Africa, (White Fathers) at Koboko Catholic parish in Koboko District. He said Christians often ask for so much from God and yet when given, give so little in return.


Bishop expressed his gratitude to the Missionaries of Africa for accepting Rev.Fr. John Bosco; To his parents who gave him to the church and all his formulators. He urged the newly ordained priest,Rev.Fr.John to always be prepared to proclaim the word of God , to nourish the Christians with sacraments and unite the people of God wherever he goes.


Rev.Fr.John Bosco Mukulia will serve in Ghana under the Missionaries of Africa. (White Fathers.)


Rev.Fr.John Bosco Mukulia begun his primary education at Anyakalio Primary School before joining Koboko Town college for "O" and "A" level. After his "A" level studies, he joined Major Seminary with the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) in 2013 at the Queen of Apostles Philosophy Center in Jinja. There after, studied and completed graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Social and Philosophical Studies in 2016.

He then joined Novitiate in Arusha, Tanzania in 2017 for spiritual formation, where he was installed a Lector at the Ministry of Readers. Same year , he took his Declaration of Intent to become a member of the Missionaries of Africa and was assigned for pastoral work to Ghana where he learnt the Dabani language and culture. 2018, he renewed his Declaration of Intent to become a member of the Missionary of Africa.


In 2019, Rev.Fr.John Bosco was admitted for theology. He completed and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theological Studies at St.Joseph's Theological Institude Cedarn in South Africa in 2021. Same year he received training and was awarded a certificate on Safeguard of Children and Vulnerable Adults from The Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. In January 2022, Rev.Fr.John Bosco was enrolled for Post Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Theology where he successfully completed and will graduate in absentia in March 2023 in South Africa.
