Late Bishop. Angelo Tarantino was born on 1908, and he was elected as the first Bishop of Arua Diocese on 12 February, 1959. He was consecrated a bishop on 1 May, 1959 by Bishop Zuche of Concordia (Italy). He took possession of the See of Arua Diocese on 13 June, 1959 when he was installed by Msgr. Mojaiski Perrelli, the Apostolic Legate to East and West British Africa, at Ediofe Parish Church, which then became the Cathedral of Arua Diocese.
