On World Day for the Elderly and Grandparents, July 28, 2024, Bishop Sabino, as part of his outreach program to connect with every corner of the diocese, joined Pope Francis in urging the people of Christ the king Obaru to honor and listen to the voices of the elderly while noting that they are the foundation upon which the lives of the later generation is built.

This visit marked the first time a bishop ever visited the chapel since its establishment in 1972. Obaru Christian communities were deeply moved by the Bishop's visit, which brought to attension their commitment to finishing the newly built magnificent chapel by Christians.

More 100 young Chritians were confirmed and 7 Catechists given faculty as Eucharistic Minister.
