During a confirmation ceremony at Lagoba Chapel, where 90 young Christians were confirmed, a Eucharistic minister was installed, and the Chapel was elevated to a Eucharistic center, Bishop Sabino illustrated the practical application of spiritual guidance. He shared a story of encountering a man in the USA who wears a unique wrist gadget, similar but bigger to a wrist watch, inscribed with the phrase "What would Jesus do." This, the bishop explained, served as a powerful tool for the man in aligning his decisions with spiritual values, as the man explained to him. He called upon the faithful to to use similar reminders such as crucifixes, rosaries, or carrying the Bible to remind them of Christ's teachings as they confront everydays life's challenges.
Bishop called upon individuals, families, and schools to embrace the newly inaugurated Eucharistic center in Logoba Chapel, Moyo Parish.
Addressing confirmation candidates, he encouraged the candidates to allow themselves be guided by the Holy Spirit.
Bishop Sabino shared a message from Prophet Ezekiel about God's promise to give a new heart and spirit to His people highlighting the need for individuals to open their hearts to receive these gifts. With the opening of the Eucharistic center, he called for a transformed relationship with God, whether coming alone, with family, friends, or as a school.
The bishop emphasized the role of the Holy Spirit in controlling human desires, cautioning against unchecked desires of the flesh, as outlined by St. Paul in the days reading. He stressed the importance of self-control urging Christians to be guided by qualities such as love, joy, peace, and humility.
