Bishop Sabino has called upon local council leaders of Westnile region to enact bylaws preventing the practice of youth idling by the road side. Bishop Sabino made the plea during the administration of the holy sacrament of confirmation to over 150 young Christians of Ramogi chapel under Yumbe Parish in Arua Diocese. He emphasized the need for youth to channel their talents productively to contribute to the eradication of poverty, highlighting that work is essential for poverty alleviation.
During the ceremony; Bishop Sabino urged the congregation to remember and pray for the soul of the late Fr. Denis Isa Iranya, seeking eternal peace for him with the Lord.
He reminded the congregation of the week of prayer for unity amongst Christians denominations and urged the catholics to join other christian religious denominations who profess Christ as saviour to pray for unity amongst themselves during this week for prayers for unity. Bishop Sabino as a catholic leader stated that as catholics, there is no division or prejudice against other religious groups and these can be seen in the catholic founded institutions serving not only catholics but humanity.
Drawing from the words of Prophet Isaiah and St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians, the Bishop underscored the mission of the anointed and those with the spirit to be messengers of good news and advocates for the well-being of others. St. Paul's teachings to guide Christians to live lives worthy of their calling, emphasizing humility, gentleness, and the promotion of unity.
