Bishop Sabino Urges Parents to Guide Children in Answering God's Call.

Bishop Sabino passionately calls upon parents and guardians to play an active role in helping their children comprehend and respond to God's calling.

Bishop made the call during a holy sacrament of the mass with the Chritians of Eria parish in Arua diocese while administering the holy sacrament of confirmation to a hundreds of children at the parish center.

Drawing from the day's readings, he delved into the First Book of Samuel, expounding on the divine call received by Samuel as a little boy with Eli helping him understand the devine call. Bishop emphasized the importance of guiding the younger generation in understanding and heeding God's call, echoing the story where Samuel, after multiple calls from the Lord, sought guidance from Eli.

"The LORD called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, 'Here I am; you called me.' Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy," the Bishop recounted.

Bishop Sabino urged the congregation to collaborate in their spiritual journey and assist one another in responding to God's call. He also appealed to candidates for confirmation to make it their solemn duty to bring their friends closer to Christ and later in their life bring Christ to their work place and into their families.

Bishop Sabino shared the tragic news of the passing on of Reverend Father Denis Isa Iranya, the parish priest of Holy Cross Indriani Pilgrim Centre Catholic Mission in Adjumani district that occurred during a Diocesan Parish Priests meeting at Christus Centre in Ediofe Cathedral on January 11, 2024 while calling upon the Christian community to pray for the repose of Rev. Fr. Denis Isa Iranya's soul and extend their support to his grieving family. Bishop announced that the funeral rites will take place at the Generalate of the Missionaries of Jesus the Divine Master in Euata, Onzivu ward, Euata cell, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 11:00 am.
