In a splendid commemoration, the 114th Anniversary Celebration of the first Eucharist in Uganda was led jointly by Mapeera Nabulagala Catholic parish kampala Archdiocese and Arua Diocese - Kampala Catholic Community. The Eucharistic ceremony was graced by the presence of the Rt. Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki, Bishop of the Diocese of Arua, who guided the celebration with reverence. Adding to the atmosphere of joy and beauty, the St. John the Baptist choir from Mapeera Nabulagala Catholic Parish filled the air with their delightful melodies, creating an unforgettable experience for all.

During the celebration, more than 200 young Catholics received their first holy communion, symbolizing a pivotal step in their spiritual journeys. Bishop Sabino, in his message, encouraged the faithful to always nourish their lives with the transformative power of the Eucharist. He emphasized how the sacred sacrament binds them together, fostering unity with Christ, and providing strength and sustenance for their daily lives. The Bishop offered his prayers, hoping that the Eucharist would fortify and guide these young individuals, ensuring their steadfast growth in their relationship with Christ.
