During the week, participants are engaging in guided group discussions, examining the
root causes of conflict, reflecting on the meaning of peace, and identifying practical
ways of promoting harmony within communities. Key issues being raised include poverty,
unemployment, corruption, family instability, land disputes, poor communication, and
declining moral values. Concerns such as religious differences, substance abuse, and
misuse of technology are also being highlighted.
Participants are describing peace as a state built on unity, love, justice, and mutual
respect. It is being associated with strong family relationships, trust within communities,
economic stability, and a life grounded in faith and sound moral values.
To encourage peaceful coexistence, participants are emphasizing the importance of education,
dialogue, forgiveness, justice, and support for vulnerable members of society. The need for
responsible leadership, transparency, and active community participation is also being stressed.
The discussions are further affirming that a Christ-centered life is fostering peace by
nurturing love, humility, reconciliation, and forgivenessvalues that are strengthening
families and promoting harmony in the wider community.
Overall, the Peace Week is providing an important platform for reflection, engagement,
and renewed commitment to building a united and peaceful society.
