Ombaci, Arua Diocese - On Sunday, 12th January, St. Kizito Chapel in Driwala Ombaci was officially elevated to a Eucharistic center
by Rt. Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki, the Bishop of the Diocese. The event also saw the Confirmation of 238 candidates.
The Bishop expressed his hearfelt gratitude to the parish community for their hard work in building the beautiful
church at the Center, which has now been granted this new status. He commended the parish for its unity, noting that
Ombaci Parish, which originally had 12 chapels, now has six Eucharistic centers.
In his address, the Bishop urged the congregation to treat the church with more respect than before, as it now hosts
the Body of Christ. He encouraged all to approach the church with reverence, even while in a hurry, by bowing before it.
He also called on the faithful to reflect on any obstacles hindering their closeness to God, such as unbaptized members,
those not receiving sacraments, or those not married in the Church, stressing the importance of creating space for God in all areas of life.
Drawing from the second reading of the day, St. Paul's letter to Titus, the Bishop urged the faithful to live moderately,
so there is room for God in their lives. He emphasized finding balance between work, prayer, rest, and leisure.
