Two Brothers of MIDM celebrated Perpetual profession of Vows. Euata, Arua Diocese.

Third General Chapter, Perpetual profession and renewal of the Vows of our brothers.

Two Brothers of MIDM celebrated Perpetual profession of Vows. Euata, Arua Diocese. The Missionaries of Jesus the Divine Master celebrated the profession of vows of two religious brothers ; Br. charles Mugonza (MIDM - Masaka) and Br.John Edema (MIDM - Arua Diocese) at Euata in Arua Diocese. The event, presided over by the Bishop of Arua Diocese, Rt. Rev. Sabino Ocan Odoki, manifested a day of joy, unity, and deep reflection on the sacred calling of religious life.

Bishop Sabino described vocations as a special gift from God and emphasized the importance of chastity, obedience, and love in religious life. He reminded the congregation that these vows are not merely commitments but pathways to focus on God's mission. "Chastity allows you to remain focused on God's work, obedience aligns you with His will, and love is the cornerstone of our faith," the Bishop said.

Bishop encouraged the brothers to serve as bridges between God and His people, reflecting love and devotion in their daily lives while reminding them of the challenges that come with the responsibility they have chosen. He called for perseverance highlighting the Gospel's lesson about a young man unwilling to part with his wealth to follow Jesus, urging the brothers to identify and overcome obstacles that may hinder their mission.

Drawing inspiration from the story of Elijah and Elisha, Bishop Sabino likened the brothers' commitment to the biblical mantle of leadership. "God is placing a responsibility on your shoulders today to witness to Christ and lead others to Him," he said. "Material wealth is necessary, but it must never take precedence over our spiritual mission," he said, urging the brothers to remain steadfast and committed in their service.

The new leadership of the MIDM General Council was also announced. The council is led by Very Rev. Fr. Prof.Odukuker Picho Epiphany as the Superior General, with Rev. Fr. Drici Ben Pasi serving as the Vicar General and Councilor in charge of Finance and Assets. Rev. Fr. Dominic Tamale was appointed as the Councilor for Vocations and Formation, Rev. Fr.Anthony Bongomin as the Councilor for Education and Training, and Rev. Fr.Thomas Opolot as the Councilor for Social Communication and Media.
