Rev. Fr. Jimmy Milla, a Comboni Missionary Priest from Torit Diocese who works in the refugee settlement in Adjumani district, explained that the Youth especially boys feel that their future remains uncertain because they are not in school therefore most have engaged in drug abuse while the girls opt for early marriage.
According to Fr. Denis Isa Iranya the Parish Priest of Pakele Parish in Adjumani Deanery has cited lack of proper catechesis as one of the key factors.
Meanwhile Monsignor Mathias Miria, the Episcopal Vicar of Lodonga Vicariate is hopeful that the Council can handle such challenges
