Bishop Sabino Odoki confirms 117 in Aripea
There was excitement at St. Peter Claver Aripea parish as the Bishop of Arua Diocese Sabino Odoki visited the parish after three years on Sunday 27th January 2019 during a confirmation ceremony.
The Parish Priest of Aripea Fr. Tonino Pasolini in his remarks explained that since he arrived in the parish, he has not encountered major challenges. He added that the Christians welcomed him together with Sherry Meyer with great love. He also applauded the Catechists for their support in his ministry at the parish.
The Zone leader of Aripea Parish, Saverio Osoa presented a request to the office of the Bishop for a Curate”… because there is a lot of work to be done in the parish; for only the Parish Priest…” as he explained.
Hon Moses Angundru the area Member of Parliament Terego west commended the Catechists for keeping the Catholic Faith in Aripea parish.
Bishop Sabino Odoki in his message delivered at the confirmation ceremony in which over 117 candidates were confirmed said he had already forgiven Christians whose actions led to the closure of Aripea parish.
“Let us begin to count our blessings; today you have counted one Fr. Tonino how about the rest? You also have wonderful Catechists. We have already forgiven you and those who did what they did” he said. End
